About Milan

Milan covers an area of 765.3 square miles (1982 square Km) and is estimated to have a population of 3.7 million people being one of the largest cities in Italy. It is one of the main artistic centres in Europe and also an important fashion spot.

Arena Civica

Arena Civica    The Arena Civica is located in the Castello Sforzesco area to provide a home for festivities and events like the Repubblica Cisalpina and the new Regno d’Italia.

  Designed by architect Luigi Canonica in 1805 it’s sited at the north-eastern end of the Parco Sempione. Built with materials from the castle ruins and modelled on Roman amphitheatres, the Arena has an elliptic floor with four main entrances: to the south-east stands the Triumphal Arch, opposite this is the Porta delle Carceri flanked by two towers. On the north eastern side is the Porta Libitinaria and on the southwest the Loggia Reale.
